Branding Based on the Selected Padlock
A padlock logo should be planned around the body material, available marking area, surface finish and product shape. A method that works on a flat aluminum body may not produce the same result on a curved, polished or coated surface.
Raviron supports custom logo and product-marking requirements for importers, hardware distributors and private label brands. The suitable method is reviewed after the padlock model, material, dimensions and finish are confirmed.
Buyers can select an existing model from our padlock range or provide a reference product showing the preferred branding position.
Logo Position and Marking Area
The front face of the lock body is normally the most visible branding position, but the available area depends on the body width, cylinder position and surface shape. Selected models may also allow marking on the back, side, key head or packaging.
The following details should be confirmed:
- Logo width and height
- Front, back or side position
- Horizontal and vertical alignment
- Distance from body edges
- Required color or engraved appearance
- Product code or serial marking
- Key or grouping identification where applicable
A larger logo is not always clearer. The artwork should fit the available flat area without interfering with the cylinder, body edge or coating.
Artwork and Logo Method Confirmation
Please provide vector artwork where possible, such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A high-resolution black-and-white file may also be used for an initial review. The artwork should clearly show the correct proportions, spelling and any required registration marks.
Possible marking directions may include engraved, stamped or printed effects, depending on the model, material and finish. Availability must be confirmed for the selected padlock before quotation.
Polished metal, brushed surfaces, dark coatings and colored aluminum bodies create different levels of logo contrast. The logo color and process should therefore be reviewed together with the surface finish.
For colored product programs, our aluminum padlocks provide practical directions for combining body color with visible private label branding.
Logo Sample and Pre-Production Approval
A logo sample should be approved before mass production. The review should cover:
- Logo size and position
- Artwork accuracy
- Clarity of small details
- Color and contrast
- Marking depth or coverage
- Alignment between products
- Surface condition around the logo
- Appearance under normal lighting
Photographs can be used for an initial check, but a physical sample is recommended when logo depth, finish or color matching is important.
Custom samples for an existing model normally take around 7–15 days. New marking tools, special finishes or structural changes may require additional time.
Branding Beyond the Lock Body
A private label program may also include:
- Branded key heads where supported
- Model or SKU labels
- Barcode labels
- Instruction sheets
- Color boxes
- Blister backing cards
- Inner boxes
- Export carton marks
Product and packaging branding should use the same approved artwork, colors and model information. Barcode, SKU and keying details must be checked separately to prevent incorrect labels or mixed products during packing.
Additional packaging and branding requirements can be reviewed through our Custom / OEM service.
MOQ, Lead Time and Bulk Inspection
Standard models normally start around 500–1,000 pieces per style. Custom logo and private label programs commonly start around 1,000–3,000 pieces, depending on the product, logo method, number of colors and packaging.
Standard bulk production normally takes around 25–35 days. More complex branded programs may require around 35–45 days after sample approval.
During production, inspection covers logo position, clarity, color, surface appearance and consistency against the approved sample. Packaging checks verify the model, barcode, labels and carton markings.
For a quotation, provide the padlock model, quantity per style and color, logo artwork, preferred position, surface finish, packaging and destination country. You can send your artwork and branding requirements for review.
