Private Label Padlock Programs
Raviron develops private label padlocks for importers, hardware distributors, security product suppliers and established brands that require products supplied under their own identity. A private label order involves more than placing a logo on an existing lock. The product specification, marking method, keying requirement, packaging and inspection reference must work together as one repeatable program.
Available categories include brass, stainless steel, aluminum, laminated steel, combination, disc, long-shackle, alarm and selected smart padlocks. The appropriate model should be confirmed according to the target application, price range, required security function and distribution channel.
Product Specification Confirmation
Private label development normally starts from an existing model, a buyer’s specification sheet, product photographs, drawings or a physical reference sample. We confirm the details that directly affect quotation and production:
- Padlock type and body material
- Body width, thickness and structure
- Shackle diameter and internal clearance
- Cylinder and keying arrangement
- Color and surface finish
- Order quantity by model and color
- Target market and intended application
Keying requirements should be stated clearly, including Keyed Different (KD), Keyed Alike (KA) groups or model-specific master-key requirements. Compatibility depends on the selected cylinder, product structure and quantity.
For projects requiring structural adjustments, buyers can review our custom padlock design process before preparing the specification.
Logo, Labels and Brand Identification
Logo application depends on the lock body material, available marking area, finish and required visual effect. Common project options can include laser marking, engraving, printing or other model-appropriate methods.
The buyer should provide vector artwork where possible, together with the required logo dimensions and position. Our logo and branding support covers artwork review, placement confirmation and branded sample checking.
Brand identification may also extend to key heads, SKU labels, barcode labels, instruction sheets and packaging. These items should be confirmed together to prevent inconsistent information across the product and its retail or distribution pack.
Private Label Packaging
Packaging selection should reflect the padlock’s weight, shackle shape, sales channel and shipment method. Supported formats may include blister packs, color boxes, inner boxes and export cartons, depending on the selected model and order quantity.
Packaging confirmation normally covers artwork, product positioning, barcode and SKU information, warning or instruction content, carton quantity and carton marking. Buyers requiring a complete branded pack can review the available custom packaging options.
Packaging structure may affect MOQ, sample cost and lead time. Printed boxes and customized blister components usually require higher quantities than neutral export packing.
Sample Approval Before Bulk Production
Custom samples are typically prepared in approximately 7–15 days, depending on the lock model, logo method, finish, packaging and whether structural changes are required. The sample should be checked for dimensions, shackle fit, locking function, key matching, logo position, appearance and packaging accuracy.
The approved specification and sample then become references for component processing, assembly, inspection and packing. Details requiring correction should be recorded before production rather than left for final inspection. More information is available on our sample development process.
MOQ, Production and Quality Checks
Private label programs commonly start around 1,000–3,000 pieces per model, subject to the specification, branding method and packaging structure. More complex customized orders may require approximately 35–45 days after sample and artwork approval.
Production checks cover incoming materials, component dimensions, cylinder and shackle fit, key matching, locking function, logo appearance, surface consistency and packing accuracy. Third-party inspection or additional testing can be arranged when the buyer specifies the requirements before quotation.
Information Required for a Quotation
Please send the padlock type, material, body dimensions, shackle specification, keying arrangement, quantity, logo artwork, packaging requirement and destination country. Also state whether the project is a trial order, a new private label launch or a repeat purchasing program. This information allows us to evaluate feasibility, MOQ, sample requirements, production time and shipping options accurately.
